Online Writing Workshop for the Actor and Devisor
with Erica J Brennan

Sunday 15 August on Zoom: 2:30-4:30pm

Australian Eastern Standard Time

A gentle task-based workshop that explores how to begin and sustain a writing practice that sustains YOU.

Participants will take part in writing tasks both solo and collaborative as part of this skill-sharing class. Ninefold member and devising artist Erica J Brennan shares some simple and sustainable techniques for starting to write and continuing to write...whatever it is you want to blooming write.

You will:

  • Learn practical and actionable methods you can do at your own pace to achieve a first draft or a plot map of an idea.

  • Explore how writing can function as part of a robust performance practice and develop a lasting feeling of autonomy over your creative output.

Erica also offers insight into the benefits gained as an actor by developing her skill with the quill and leveraging her interest in writing for live performance when devising with Ninefold.

Erica J Brennan is a director, writer, and actor.  Projects included THIS IS NOT MILLS AND BOON, UNCOVER DOGS, METAFOUR- FOUR SHORT PLAYS BY SAMUEL BECKETT and EXPERIENCE & THE GIRL (Adelaide/Perth Tour).
